Maintenance Technician

Thermo-Tech Windows, a manufacturer of vinyl windows and doors, is seeking a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative, predictive, and repair maintenance in a timely and cost effective manner. Experience with welding, fabrication, and electrical troubleshooting are all helpful. Good mechanical aptitudes, ability to work independently or as a team and to follow safety directives are mandatory.

Essential Functions:

  • Reviews equipment records to perform preventative maintenance according to schedule. Performs or directs trouble shooting as needed.
  • Participates in the installation, repair and removal of production line equipment as needed. Consults with machinery manufacturers as needed.
  • Performs repair and preventative maintenance on equipment, buildings and grounds. Work includes Controls, Electrical, Pneumatics, carpentry, light welding, and plumbing.
  • Reviews and maintains spare parts inventory, orders parts and supplies as needed.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork and documentation neatly, timely and accurately including maintenance reports and repair logs, utilizing COGZ software to track down time, labor and material cost by each piece of equipment.

Education: Completion of High school diploma or GED plus up to two years of formal education or three years’ experience.

Experience:

  • Two years previous maintenance/troubleshooting with education
  • Three years’ experience without formal education

Licensing/Certifications/Background:

  • Valid Driver’s License and valid driving history (pre-employment and annual)

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Knowledge of PLCs
  • Able to multitask

Shipping Loader Lead

Shipping Loader Lead

Thermo-Tech Windows, a growing vinyl window and door manufacturing company in Central Minnesota, has a new opening for a Shipping Loader Lead. The Load Leader is responsible for all truck loading activities including Thermo-Tech trucks and common carrier shipments. This individual will give daily work direction to the Truck Loaders in order to support delivery schedules. This position is also responsible for providing complete and accurate shipment record paperwork, assist in training of employees and participating in efforts to meet and continually improve the department’s quality, productivity and safety. This individual will also serve as a backup to the Shipping/Logistics Supervisor in creating routes and coordinating activities for the department.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 3 Years Material Handling or Distribution, with some supervision of employees.

Licensing and Certification (preferred but not required): Valid MN Driver’s License, with DOT Medical Certificate and willingness to obtain a Class A CDL endorsement.

Skills and Knowledge:

Technical Support Representative

Technical Support Representative

Thermo-Tech Windows, a manufacturer of vinyl windows and doors, is seeking a Technical Support Representative. The Technical Support Representative will assist employees with their information technology needs. This individual will report to the offsite Technology Manager and will work with other members of the offsite IT team to provide high quality support to the end users.

Essential Functions:

  • Utilize Help Desk Ticketing System to provide client support by creating and resolving technical incidents via email or phone.
  • Follow and produce standard work to complete technical support tasks.
  • Load and verify correct operation of software packages.
  • Install PC hardware and peripheral components.
  • Support network and telecommunications system hardware and software.

Education: BS Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Preferred.

Experience:

  • Two years previous technical support experience with education
  • Three years’ experience without formal education

The Window Assembler is expected to perform a wide variety of fabrication functions in accordance with quality, quantity and safety standards.
