Thermo-Tech Windows is accepting applications for full-time/permanent employees as Assemblers/Machine Operators for the first shift, building windows and patio doors. The Assembler/Machine Operators are expected to perform a wide variety of fabrication functions in accordance with quality, quantity, and safety standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Accurately and completely finish window and patio door orders that meets or exceeds the production standards in accordance with standard work instructions.
  • Operate fabrication equipment to produce parts to required specifications.
  • Follow approved quality practices and suggest improvements.
  • Meet production goals by posted line standards.
  • Perform quality checks using tape measures down to a 1/16 in.
  • Provide and assist with training personnel.
  • Must be flexible to work in other departments as needed and display a positive attitude.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated, focused, organized employee who can work in a team environment or independently.
  • Be able to work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies.
  • Engage in cross-training to maintain flexibility and adaptability to support production.
  • Work to an established rate as defined by customer demand and standard work.
  • Support a respectful workplace.
  • Mechanical Aptitude and ability to use various manufacturing tools and hand tools.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs; to include frequent lifting and carrying up to 25lbs, with frequent walking and standing, pulling, and pushing.

Full-Time

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm **
**If overtime is needed, it is mandatory, and will be worked on Friday and/or Saturday starting at 6:00am and working until work is completed, but no later than 4:30pm.

Pay: $16.50 to $17.50/hr

Material Handler

Material Handler

The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate, safe, and efficient movement and storage of materials to support the business needs of the manufacturing operation. Operates gas forklift trucks to move, stack, load, or unload materials in and about the facility. Uses hand tools, forklifts, pallet trucks, and two-wheeled carts. Responsible for maintaining computerized inventory records and cycle counting.

Essential Functions:

  • Loads and unloads trucks making sure to always secure the load.
  • Supplies production areas with parts.
  • Rotates functions within the department as needed and assigned by Supervisor. Works as a contributing member of the team.
  • Performs all functions according to sound safety principles, company policies and procedures.
  • Inspects equipment daily per guidelines prior to use.
  • Performs periodic cycle counts to maintain accurate records.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork and documentation neatly, timely and accurately including quality reports, timecards, etc. Enters data and maintains computer record information as directed.
  • Maintains good housekeeping in the department.
  • Monitors product constantly to assure quality standards are being met and rejects product that does not meet quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year material handling experience preferred
  • Must have valid MN Driver’s License
  • Ability to obtain Forklift Certification
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process and inventory flow
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Products such as Word and Excel Spreadsheets
  • Able to deal effectively with various personality types and cultures

Full-Time

Quality Auditor

The Quality Auditor / Technician is responsible for performing fundamental quality audit checks in accordance with quality and safety standards. This individual will work as a member of the Engineering team to achieve quality goals and strives to continually improve operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform daily line audits, Interact with Line Operators and Leadership on corrective actions.
  • Monitors production processes using statistical tools and data collection (Infinity QS)
  • Responsible for quality records and certification compliance.
  • Assist with A3s, and quality improvement activities. Includes participating in root cause analysis tools, 5 whys, fishbone diagrams, and etc.
  • Analyze failures and develop corrective and preventive actions.
  • Assist in writing and developing standard work.
  • Perform incoming material inspections and nonconformance reporting.
  • Preparation of QA reports.
  • Supports company goals or objectives and communicates effectively.
  • Demonstrates good attendance, supports, and contributes to a respectful workplace.
  • Supports and implements Continuous Improvement activities.

Qualifications:

  • Statistical background helpful
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to read prints and drawings, specifically understanding dimensions and tolerances
  • Product and industry knowledge preferred
  • Ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player
  • Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Able to deal effectively with various personality types and cultures
  • Ability to work under pressure effectively and professionally in a team environment, with frequent changes in deadlines and priories

Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years window fabrication preferred

This position is responsible for loading and unloading of company vehicles in accordance with safety, quality, and quantity standards. Essential Functions:

  • Optimally load trucks by hand in an organized and safe manner
  • Ensure all products are scanned accurately to the truck
  • Monitors product constantly to assure quality standards are being met and rejects product that does not meet quality standards
  • Utilizes computer equipment to complete orders on staging computer, look-up information, scan windows, and enter tag information
  • Ensure correct shipping of products to our customers occurs safely, accurately, and damage free
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation neatly, timely, and accurately including quality reports, timecards, etc.
  • Assemble shipping crates and prepare common carrier shipments as directed, taking care to package product to effectively guard against shipping damage
  • Be able to work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies
  • Engage in cross-training to maintain flexibility and adaptability to support the department functions
  • Operate manufacturing equipment and use hand tools a required
  • Support a respectful workplace

Qualifications:

  • Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and standing for long periods
  • Ability to lift and move fully manufactured windows and doors
  • Ability to read and understand reports and a willingness to cross train on several operations
  • Dependability and punctuality
