Thermo-Tech Windows is accepting applications for full-time/permanent employees as Assemblers/Machine Operators for the first shift, building windows and patio doors. The Assembler/Machine Operators are expected to perform a wide variety of fabrication functions in accordance with quality, quantity, and safety standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Accurately and completely finish window and patio door orders that meets or exceeds the production standards in accordance with standard work instructions
  • Operate fabrication equipment to produce parts to required specifications
  • Follow approved quality practices and suggest improvements
  • Meet production goals by posted line standards
  • Perform quality checks using tape measures down to a 1/16 in
  • Provide and assist with training personnel
  • Must be flexible to work in other departments as needed and display a positive attitude
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated, focused, organized employee who can work in a team environment or independently
  • Be able to work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies
  • Engage in cross-training to maintain flexibility and adaptability to support production
  • Work to an established rate as defined by customer demand and standard work
  • Support a respectful workplace
  • Mechanical Aptitude and ability to use various manufacturing tools and hand tools
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs; to include frequent lifting and carrying up to 25lbs, with frequent walking and standing, pulling, and pushing

Full-Time

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm

**If overtime is needed, it is mandatory, and will be worked on Friday and/or Saturday starting at 6:00am and working until work is completed, but no later than 4:30pm.

Pay: $16.50 to $17.50/hr

Field Service Technician

This individual will be responsible for service calls at sites throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa to diagnose problem(s) and perform necessary service work, including window and glass repair. The Field Service Technician will develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of all Thermo-Tech current and past products. The Field Service Technician will (with guidance from the Customer Service Supervisor) appropriately administer the terms and conditions of Thermo-Tech product warranty.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Minimum 3-years construction-related work experience

Licensing/Certifications/Background:

  • Valid Driver’s License and valid driving history (pre-employment and annual)
  • Background Check

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Computer knowledge especially with Microsoft office products
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Highly motivated, focused, organized employee who can work in a team environment or independently
  • Able to multitask
  • Ability to effectively demonstrate and train others
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Some overnight travel, evening and weekend activity may be required

  • Service Vehicle (motor vehicle)
  • Power tools including the following: cordless and corded drills, heat guns, portable circular saw, table saw, reciprocating saw, bench grinder, Dremel tool, deglazing tool, air powered tools (including staplers and cutters), portable air compressor, power sanders, power lifts of various types
  • Office equipment including computer, calculator, copier, fax, phone, cell phone
  • Hand tools including hammer, mallet, pry bar, manual deglazer, saws, knives, scissors, measuring tools, squares, ladders, scaffolding

This position is responsible for loading and unloading of company vehicles in accordance with safety, quality, and quantity standards. This position is also responsible for the accurate, safe, and efficient movement and storage of materials to support the business needs of the warehousing operation.

Essential Functions:

  • Optimally load trucks by hand in an organized and safe manner
  • Ensure all products are scanned accurately to the truck
  • Monitors product constantly to assure quality standards are being met and rejects product that does not meet quality standards
  • Utilizes computer equipment to complete orders on staging computer, look-up information, scan windows, and enter tag information
  • Ensure correct shipping of products to our customers occurs safely, accurately, and damage free
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation neatly, timely, and accurately including quality reports, timecards, etc.
  • Assemble shipping crates and prepare common carrier shipments as directed, taking care to package product to effectively guard against shipping damage
  • Be able to work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies
  • Engage in cross-training to maintain flexibility and adaptability to support the department functions
  • Operate manufacturing equipment and use hand tools a required
  • Support a respectful workplace

Qualifications:

  • Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and standing for long periods
  • Ability to lift and move fully manufactured windows and doors
  • Ability to read and understand reports and a willingness to cross train on several operations
  • Dependability and punctuality
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player
  • Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Able to deal effectively with various personality types and cultures
  • Ability to communicate successfully
  • Prefer candidates with manufacturing/shipping experience and a high school education

Full-Time and Part-Time

Pay: $18.00/hr
