Semi-Truck Driver
The Class A CDL Driver will be operating company vehicle(s) that are in excess of 26,000 pound GVWR. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of windows and patio doors in such a manner that maintains and promotes excellent customer relations. The Class A CDL Driver will deliver to local lumber yards and job-sites throughout MN and into the edges of WI, ND, SD, and IA. Some overnight trips may be required but would be very infrequent.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- One year/ 100,000 miles previous semi-truck driving experience
- Previous delivery experience preferred
Licensing and Certification:
- Must have valid MN Driver’s License
- Class A CDL endorsement
- Valid Medical Card or able to obtain a DOT Medical Card
- Clean driving record
Skills and Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of ELDs (Electronic Logging Devices)
- Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
- Customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively
- Must meet company DMV record standards.
- Valid driver’s license and valid driving history (annual and pre-employment)
- Able to deal effectively with various personality types and cultures
- Meet company appearance standards
