ENERGY STAR® and Thermo-Tech Premium Windows and Doors
Thermo-Tech has combined advanced technology with traditional craftsmanship for window and door designs that perform beyond expectation—in all climate extremes. But to truly offer the best, we pushed our engineering further. That’s why Thermo-Tech is a voluntary partner with ENERGY STAR®, an independent government-backed program designed to help protect the environment through superior energy efficiency.
ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy, helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy-efficient products and practices.
Results are already adding up. Americans, with the help of ENERGY STAR, saved enough energy in 2009 alone to avoid greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those from 30 million cars—all while saving nearly $17 billion on their utility bills.
Through the ENERGY STAR labeling system, consumers can see in black and white that Thermo-Tech products are some of the most efficient products on the market today. That protects the environment. And it protects your pocketbook through energy-cost savings. Thermo-Tech is proud to be part of the ENERGY STAR program, and nearly every window and door we sell can be ordered to meet ENERGY STAR guidelines.
To become ENERGY STAR qualified, windows, doors and skylights must be independently tested and certified by the National Fenestration Rating Council and labeled according to ENERGY STAR climate zones. Thermo-Tech tailors the components of our windows to work most efficiently where you live.
ENERGY STAR Compliance
Indicates ENERGY STAR compliance for appropriate glazing zone.
The ENERGY STAR program was developed by the U. S. Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency to help consumers identify products that save energy. Requirements for windows are tailored to meet the energy needs of the country’s four climate zones: Northern, North/Central, South/Central and Southern. ENERGY STAR windows must be rated, certified and labeled by the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) for U-Factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC).
